Detan's Notes: Motivation like the Sine wave
- What if you should have known? What if you did not know but hoped it will wort itself out? - Sometimes, do nothing. Go to sleep. Give things time to settle and come back with a new perspective - Does that always work ? When does it not work?
For the week ending on Oct 31, 2020
Tough Questions:
Sometimes, do nothing. Go to sleep. Give things time to settle and come back with a new perspective - Does that always work? When does it not work?
What if you should have known? What if you did not know but hoped it will work itself out?
Recap:
The podcast episode with the sister went live (whoot!) and suddenly the coast seemed to move on to other things (... or so I thought.). Sike! That coast seemed clear for a day. The spirit was willing but the flesh was too weak to do anything else. The flesh just wanted to cuddle under a fluffy blanket on the couch (because going straight for the bed would make it obvious that I was being lazy).
For an important initiative at work, the pressure has been mounting for the past not-so-few months and now we are so so close to a major milestone ... and then boom! - we discover that we were missing a requirement to get the job done as fast and secure as we'd want (Miss Product Manager, take note for the future  ) Thanks to the ever-reliable dev+devops team negotiation to break protocols and get the requirement in at all cost. Fingers crossed - this milestone shall soon pass. 8-O
Midweek, I had the opportunity to speak with two (2) students from my Alma mater (Alma whaaatttt?! I'm now legit a Queen's / Smith Alumni  ) who reached out about interests in supporting with marketing and research for my baby venture. Awww! Felt quite encouraging. I decided to do nothing on the venture for the rest of the week and make a decision on the next steps by Sunday - maybe the new month vibes will unleash some motivation
