Hello & Welcome!
Welcome to the launch of DetanOyedele.Com and my first blog post here. My name is Detan and I am so excited to share with what I have to offer! I say first blog post here because I used to blog at moccalette.com between 2013 and 2016 on life an random thoughts. I thought to start by telling you why I created this online space and what you will be seeing more
Who am I
I'm in my late twenties and I grew up and work in Nigeria. I've got a first degree in Computer Science and Engineering and working towards a second degree in something related to Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation. By day, I put these qualifications to use as a Product and Project Manager in a health-tech NGO in Northern Nigeria and by night and on weekends, my side hustle cape kicks in as a podcaster, writer and technology consultant.
Why I started this
I'm passionate about living a purposeful, fulfilling and impactful life - one with full awareness of "self", intention and purpose. I have a knack for professionalism and excellent management (this may have come about from my almost 3-year work experience at PwC Nigeria). I also love learning and the art of mastery at one's skills and craft in whatever area one chooses (this may have come about form my career starting in a cool startup company that was big on talent management and fostering each person in his/her own uniqueness.) I'll use this platform to share helpful write-ups and tools in all my areas of interests, with the goal of providing an avenue for all career professionals like me to exchange and chatter on what we are passionate about and eventuallyy learn from one another.
What you'll be seeing more of
Here you will see me express my thoughts on all these: workplace matters, career development, technology, management and education. These could be in form of writing, podcasts or videos. I hope to feature a few excellent colleagues and friends of mine as well to share their take on various subjects
Lets get this started!
